My experience with Christian Science began thirty-five...
My experience with Christian Science began thirty-five years ago. The initial healing was that of my wife; and this was followed by a personal experience of healing.
On the occasion of a frequently recurring sickness I informed my associates that I expected to be absent from business for several days, this being the usual procedure. Material remedies had been exhausted; their continued use involved much pain and suffering. Because of this, a Christian Science practitioner was called in the afternoon. The following morning I was well and ready to return to business. This I did not do, however, because it did not seem right to get well so suddenly and return so quickly to the office!
Thus began the era of Christian Science in our home, in business, in social life. And now, after thirty-five years, it can be said that every morning since then has unfolded new and bright promises, while the evenings have brought, undimmed, those realizations which were promised at the dawn. Burdens have been made light, fears have been subdued, the jarring noise of plodding days has been replaced by the sound of song, and something has been learned of the joy of gratitude.
