With a heart full of gratitude to God and to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, I wish to testify to the healing and regenerating power of Christian Science, and to tell how the truth about man, as we learn it in this Science, healed me.

When Christian Science came into my life I was very much run down in health and was in a state of extreme nervousness. As I began to study the Bible and the textbook, and with the help of a practitioner, the truth gradually dawned upon me that man is spiritual, the image and likeness of God. I began persistently to claim the presence of my true selfhood—Love's image and likeness—striving to think only thoughts of love and goodness, and to live as Love's image by being more loving to those around me; also to realize that my brother man, as well, was Love's image, and not a mortal. Gradually this sense of the allness of Love took possession of my thinking, and the so-called beliefs of weakness and nervousness faded from my thought and from my experience. I am learning, too, in Christian Science that the source of all true thinking and activity is divine Love, and that man as the image of Love must therefore reflect this perfect thinking and activity.

In the ninety-first Psalm we read, "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty;" and Christian Science is revealing to me that Love's image and likeness constantly dwells in the presence of God, is under Love's protection, and is always conscious of eternal Life.
