I Nothing Need

HIRAM NICHOLS

I do not need to fear,
For Love is here.
I only need to know
Nor lack nor woe
Nor sin can sear,
Or cloud my vision clear,
While good is near;
For good is God—and so I nothing need.

I do not need to fear,
While I the still small voice can hear;
And if I follow, it will show
Through fog and mist the way to go.
So while I to this truth adhere, I nothing need.
