The study and application of Christian Science have...
The study and application of Christian Science have made it possible for me to have many helpful demonstrations, for which I am indeed grateful. I have been healed of constipation, sick headaches, colds, and bruises. The use of profanity and pleasure in all forms of gambling left me. After the subjugation of human will-power I had a quick healing of the tobacco habit, after using tobacco for many years as a stimulant. The pleasures, passions, and false appetites which I lived for in the past began to fade away. I awoke to a better understanding of the world and the people in it, with a desire to know man as he really is. Mrs. Eddy's words in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 468), "Man is not material; he is spiritual," have helped me to be alert to the wrong thoughts of envy, hate, revenge, suspicion, and false ambition.
Words fail to express my gratitude for the privilege of membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, for the opportunity of becoming active in the Sunday school, and for the help received through class instruction. I should like to express my sincere gratitude to my loving friends who have helped me to know God. I am also deeply grateful to the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, and for all the activities of The Mother Church.
Gerald Fitzgerald, Parma, Ohio.
