Over nineteen years ago I was healed of chronic constipation and severe headaches through Christian Science. Material remedies were discarded at once. My heart goes out in deep thankfulness to God, and to Mrs. Eddy for the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." a very dear friend asked me to try Christian Science. I knew nothing of this beautiful truth at that time, so I asked her to tell me about it. Her reply was that she did not know much about the teaching herself, but that it had healed her brother of the drink habit. That was good news to me; so in a few days a Christian Science practitioner was called, and she gave me a treatment. The second time she came to see me she told me that I could not have both Christian Science and medicine. The thought came to me, Even if in a day, a week, a month, or a year I am no better, I will never take another dose of medicine. I was healed right then.

Each winter for many years I had severe colds and would cough until I could not sleep at night, but I was healed through the study of Christian Science. For many years I suffered with eczema on my feet, but when I commenced reading the textbook with the Bible the eczema vanished. It returned twice, but I never lost faith in God; and for twelve years I have never been troubled with my feet.

I have seen influenza, mumps, and smallpox healed for different members of my family, all in a very short time; and I am so grateful to all the practitioners who have helped me and mine. Words cannot express my gratitude for Christian Science. It has been my only physician through all these years. My prayer is that some day I may so live as to be worthy of the name "Christian Scientist."
