[Written for the Sentinel]

Wayfaring

Naught can disturb my walk with Thee,
Thou ever present God.
In this communion I can go
The way our Master trod.

Though oft to sense a weary road,
Yet with a joy-filled heart,
Upheld by Thy encircling arm
I dare to do my part.

That part is just to feel Thee near,
To recognize Thy power;
And Thy all-knowing guidance take
For this and every hour.

Widening horizons come to view
And glorious glimpses give
Of Life eternal and complete,
When in Thy Life I live.
