[Written for the Sentinel]

"In my Father's house"

In my Father's house is a place for me where I may go and rest,
A place of hallowed beauty midst the mansions of the blest.
In my Father's house is healing, in my Father's house is peace;
And I shall seek my Father's house for swift and sure release.

The Christ is host in my Father's house, and there He bids me sup;
Forgotten now the thorn-road, the cross, the bitter cup.
For here are life abundant, and love, and joy for me;
And I shall dwell in my Father's house throughout eternity!
