recent years, much interest has been shown in excavations and explorations in various localities, because the resultant discoveries made from time to time give evidence of older civilizations and indicia as to the mode of human life in centuries far anterior to our present age.
Much
has been said and written on the Beatitudes; and they will ever be a wellspring of inspiration to the Bible student, bringing renewals of hope, faith, and heavenly aspirations.
"Oh
that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!" sang the Psalmist; and those who have in the least experienced the healing presence and power of the Christ, Truth, as revealed in Christian Science, rejoice and praise the Giver of all good, in both their thoughts and their daily deeds.

the young student of Christian Science, the Manual of The Mother Church, by Mary Baker Eddy, may at first seem to be necessary and important only to those who are forming churches or holding positions in the church organization.

As a recently published article, "Everyday Questions," is misleading and discouraging to those who, like the inquirer, are seeking help through Christian Science perhaps as a last resort, I ask the privilege of making a correction.
What
a transformation came to the beggar who, year after year, had been carried by his friends to the gate of the temple and lay there helpless, when Peter and John one day paused beside him, and he was instantly raised up in mind and body! Perhaps he had grown resigned to his condition as many had in our day, until Christian Science came to lift them from their mental infirmities and their sick beds.
