I was healed instantaneously of an ulcerated throat and loss of voice. The uplift was so great I wanted to shout this truth from the housetops. This was my first healing in Christian Science.

Some time later I had to join my husband at Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. There one night I became very ill. I had a high temperature and was in so much pain that I could not move, becoming delirious at times. My husband was away all night, and when he arrived next morning he became alarmed and wanted me to have treatment. I refused, thinking I could deny this error, but I made no headway and had to give up reading. The following day my husband sent a telegram to a practitioner in Sydney asking for help. That night I got up; all the pain and fever had left, and I felt at peace. That was on a Saturday night, and on Monday morning I was back at business feeling well and happy.

Another healing I had while in Perth. There had been a small, hard lump on my side for many years. This became larger and badly inflamed, so much so that I could not bear to have anything touch it. I became afraid that I had cancer, and could not sleep. I could not remove this fear, so I asked the same practitioner for help. When she received my letter the fear left me and I slept. I forgot about the growth for some days, and when I looked at it the inflammation had gone, and in less than two weeks the healing was complete. No trace of the lump was left.
