With a sense of deep gratitude I testify to my healing through Christian Science.

About two years and a half ago I was greatly troubled with a physical condition. I could retain nothing on my stomach and became very weak and unable to do my work. Knowing about Christian Science I called for a practitioner, who lovingly accepted the case; but my family, being much alarmed about me, urged me to consult our family doctor. The doctor told me that I was suffering from a tumor in the abdomen. He said that an operation would be inevitable, and advised me to go to a specialist for a further diagnosis. I told this to the practitioner and asked her what I should do, because I did not wish for further medical attention. She said, "Go to the specialist if your family wants it, but we will know the truth about you." The specialist told me the same as the doctor did, but could not exactly locate the tumor and therefore wanted me to be kept under observation in a hospital for three weeks.

I did not go to the hospital because I knew God was the only physician I needed and trusted, and my husband left the decision to me. My faith in God was greatly rewarded, for I soon realized that He is "a very present help in trouble," and I was healed. I have enjoyed good health since and attend to all my work as before.
