To the one following the public press year after year in its attitude toward Christian Science, it is possible to observe a very perceptible growth away from unqualified condemnation and toward a frank recognition of it as an established religion which is worthy of respect.

No longer are the words "Christian Science" an incentive to ridicule to the average reader. Weekly, or more often, he reads in his favorite newspaper articles and editorials to which are appended the words "From The Christian Science Monitor" and enjoys them. And the divine guidance which our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, so constantly strove to merit appears again in the establishment of our great newspaper, and in the maintenance of the high standard of excellence which she set for it.
