It has been said that gratitude is an open door to heaven,...

It has been said that gratitude is an open door to heaven, and I have proved that this is indeed the truth; so I wish to express my deep gratitude for Christian Science and the rebirth it has meant to me. From a helpless, hopeless neurasthenic, given up by physicnas and a burden to all about me, I was lifted into the joy of life and helpfulness by the wonderful knowledge of my true being as taught in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Step by step I learned the truth, learned the lessons of self-forgetfulness, patience, charity, humility, gratitude. From the deepest despair and utter helplessness, I was reborn into light and joy and usefulness.

To-day I am proving that all things are possible to man, as God's reflection, for I know the truth. Man is the "humble servant of the restful Mind" (Science and Health, p. 119); therefore I can prove each day the ever-presence of that divine Mind which reveals good. I have found the key to the kingdom of heaven; it is for me to use it aright. To those who are struggling under discouragement, let me say that there is no hopeless condition in the realm of Mind.—(Mrs.) Eunice Townley Thomas, Mt. Vernon, New York.
