I first heard of Christian Science in the year 1906, but...
I first heard of Christian Science in the year 1906, but it did not interest me at the time. About 1912 it was again brought to my attention by a dear friend. The testimonies in the Sentinel were what first appealed to me. I was not in need of physical healing, but believed the testimonies, and thought I would trust this religion in case of need. I continued to study and attend the church services and lectures. Gradually I gained more faith in God and less in materiality.
In the past seventeen years my three children and I have been healed of many discordant conditions. My youngest daughter was healed of rheumatism at the age of six years, after she had been unable to walk for a week. Indigestion, neuralgia, mumps, infection, earache, measles, and minor ills have been healed in my home.
Christian Science has been my physician, my comforter in sorrow, and my friend in need. I shall always be very grateful to God for His many blessings; also to Mrs. Eddy for her discovery and unselfish labor for mankind. I enjoy the privilege of being a member of a branch church, also of The Mother Church, and of having had class instruction by a loyal teacher.
