I thank Thee, Father, that I smiled to-day
And saw that smile reflected in the way,
As I passed by.

I thank Thee, Father, when my cross of care
And loneliness seemed more than I could bear,
One smiled on me.

I thank Thee, Father, that it is worth while
To speak love's simple message in a smile,
As we pass by.
