During many years I was in bondage to troublesome rheumatic headaches which sometimes assumed such proportions that I had difficulty in performing my daily duties. After having frequent electric and massage treatments I would feel better for a time, but the relief never lasted. The doctors declared the ailment hereditary, and said that the climate was unfit for me; that only by going to some southern country could I expect to gain relief.

In 1919 I read some Christian Science pamphlets and later on the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. The study of the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly always brought help and comfort, and I constantly longed for more understanding of this lucid and practical religion. I then had the opportunity to visit Christian Science churches in Germany and in Sweden. In 1927 I visited a practitioner in Stockholm, and after the first visit was completely healed of the headaches which I had had for many years. This took place about two years ago.

Christian Science has been a wonderful help to me in my daily life. Through the understanding of God as Love and ever present, my family and I have been protected from all kinds of troubles. We are grateful for Mrs. Eddy's pioneer work in the service of Love and Truth. Since January, 1927, a little group has gathered here regularly every week to read the Lesson-Sermon.
