After hearing that a dear friend had been healed of Bright's disease, I commenced the study of Christian Science. And all that I now have, or am, I owe to Christian Science. It has given me happiness, peace, and plenty. My desire is to be a better expression of divine Principle; and as Mrs. Eddy has said in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 199), "The devotion of thought to an honest achievement makes the achievement possible."

By the loving help of a Christian Science practitioner I have been healed of a bad case of kidney trouble after an operation had been performed to no purpose; also of depression, which made my life a burden. But it is for the better understanding of God as Mind, Life, Truth, and Love, which uplifts thought and destroys beliefs of depression, making life worth living, that I am most grateful. We begin to realize what Mrs. Eddy meant by the words (ibid., p. 496), "You will learn that in Christian Science the first duty is to obey God, to have one Mind, and to love another as yourself." I am grateful for every activity of the Christian Science movement; for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church; for the consecration of the practitioners; for class instruction from a loyal teacher; and for the many blessings that have come to me through teaching in the Sunday school. I owe endless gratitude to our beloved Leader, and to God, the Giver of all good.—(Mrs.) Jessie Downes, Harrogate, Yorkshire, England.
