With a greatful heart I wish to testify to a wonderful instantaneous healing I experienced through Christian Science. For more than twenty years I was ill, sometimes very ill, with a kidney and bladder trouble which often kept me confined to my bed. I was also obliged to go to a hospital, from which after some weeks. I was discharged, at my own request, as not healed. A specialist also diagnosed very serious heart trouble, and I often suffered from spasms of the heart. I can truly say I did not know what it was to be well.
Over a year ago I was again suffering such pain that I could neither walk nor lie down. The physician who attended me called in a gynecologist for consultation, and he diagnosed a growth and other serious complaints, and advised an immediate operation; but neither my husband nor I would consent. As the pain was more than I could bear, I ap plied to my sister and niece in Holland, knowing that they were Christian Scientists. They lovingly answered my letter at once, and I felt drawn to them. My niece sent me the address of a practitioner in Wiesbaden, and I turned to him full of confidence in August, 1927. He at once lovingly gave me help and made it clear to me that God's love is ever present, and we are all under His protection. He began to work for me, and before he left the house I was completely free from the severe pains which had not left me night or day. To the doctor's surprise I was able to take up my household duties again the next day. I sent the doctor away with the remark that I was well, and that I would send for him again if I needed him. I have not needed the doctor, nor have I experienced any pain; and I cannot be grateful enough to God for this wonderful instantaneous healing. I also think with gratitude of Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, and am sincerely for to the practitioner for his great love. I am grateful for all the understanding we have gained in Christian Science. I bought the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and it is giving me more and more comfort and courage. My husband and I have experienced so many blessings through Christian Science that we have every reason to be grateful.—(Mrs.)Cornelia Katharina Hachenberger, Wiesbaden-Biebrich, Germany.
