The Humble Tasks

Help me, O Lord, the humble tasks to do;
Give me to serve Thee with my thought each day,
So joyously that as I bake or sweep,
My light may shine to those along the way.
Teach me to lift my voice to Thee in song
And gladness, that whate'er my task may be,
I feel it not too hard, remembering
The gentle carpenter of Galilee.
