I sincerely desire to express my gratitude for all the blessings I have received from Christian Science. It has been a great mental and physical help to me. My two sons had been killed in the war, and I was disconsolate. I procured the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. The reading of this book was very comforting, but I had difficulty in understanding it spiritually. With the help, however, of a kind and consecrated practitioner who helped and treated me with much patience, I learned that there is no death; and a better understanding of Life brought me mental comfort.

I have also been healed of physical diseases. I was afflicted with blindness, and my left eye was almost destroyed. Through treatments in Science my sight has again become normal. From youth I had had rheumatic pains, which ran through my entire body and at times caused much suffering: they have completely disappeared. I have also been healed of pulmonary congestion and of burns. I am very grateful for all these healings, and for a better knowledge of God and of man made in His image and likeness; also, for the understanding of the redemptive truth and the life-giving thoughts which the reading of the textbook in connection with the Bible Lessons in the Christian Science Quarterly gives me. I am sincerely grateful to the practitioner who has helped me, and also to the one who introduced Christian Science to me.
