Our family has proved many times that the study of Christian Science reveals the truth of which Jesus said, "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

We have had beautiful physical healings, including those of pneumonia, heart trouble said to have been caused by the antitoxin injected for diphtheria when a child, so-called children's diseases, ear trouble, headaches, bowel trouble, a fractured skull, the result of an accident, and many more. We have had instantaneous healings, one of croup, which seemed to call for immediate relief. The last-mentioned healing was a wonderful proof to the child's father, who up to that time had frantically relied on material applications for relief for the child. To see the little one calmly put his arms under the covers and go peacefully to sleep, while one was still talking to the practitioner, was surely being on "holy ground."

Our son was healed of a fractured skull, as mentioned above, in less than two weeks. The physician sent by the company insuring the owner of the truck that caused the accident, and a physician in the family, said he should be rushed to the hospital for an X-ray examination and an operation. The Christian Science practitioner who lovingly came to our aid said we should do as we wished. So we relied on God alone. During the first week, when we would go to his room and ask him to open his eyes and speak, the child would say, "I am thinking of the definition of God and the definition of man; going over the books of the Bible and all the things we are taught in Sunday school." He was nine years old at the time, and I am grateful for the foundation that is laid for the children in our Sunday schools.
