In a recent article entitled "The Crisis in the Church," the writer deplores what he thinks to be the fact that when anyone "joins the Christian Scientists he is turning his back upon the Incarnation and upon Christianity."

In order to correct this misapprehension, may I draw attention to the fact that the teaching of Christian Science is based on that of Christ Jesus. On page 17 of the Manual of The Mother Church by Mary Baker Eddy it will be found with reference to the formation of the Christian Science church that the decision was made "to organize a church designed to commemorate the word and works of our Master, which should reinstate primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing."
