I came into Christian Science about fifteen years ago for physical healing. I had what the doctors diagnosed as locomotor ataxia, apoplexy, partial paralysis of the spine and bowels, softening of the brain, and chronic spinal trouble. I could walk only from three to five minutes with crutches or cane; could sit propped up with pillows at my back for a few minutes, and then was physically exhausted. From weighing one hundred and eighty-two pounds I was reduced to a mere shadow of my former self, weighing less than a hundred pounds. I could sleep only two or three hours in the twenty-four with the aid of opiates. When the last stroke of apoplexy occurred, the last doctor in attendance said medical science could do no more for me and refused to give me any more medicine; I had been taking an average of thirty-two doses a day for many weeks. He told my friends they could except my death any time.

I had tried both schools of medicine, also osteopathy, eclectic and electric treatment, and had worn a wide leather belt underneath my clothing for many years for spinal difficulty caused by a fall from a loft when a lad. When every system recommended had failed, Christian Science was tried as a last resort, with the result that with the first treatment I was able to get almost twelve hours of sleep. I was healed of profanity, insomnia, and the drug habit in one treatment. In about three months my healing was complete, and I was stronger, healthier, happier, and had greater endurance and strength than I had ever experienced. Chronic bowel trouble of twenty years' standing was met in about ten days. Hemorrhoids from childhood, supposedly inherited, yielded to the power of God, good, in a very short time

Broken bones were entirely healed in four days without the fingers of a surgeon; pneumonia, in which I was bleeding from both lungs, quickly yielded to the power of Truth. Influenza was completely eradicated in four hours; pleuropneumonia of both lungs yielded in less than a week's time; teeth have been extracted without pain; and recently a cancer was completely healed in less than four months. Burns, cuts, bruises, and a weak heart were healed promptly through this loving ministry, and broken arches in a very short time.
