Eleven years ago, after a very inharmonious period of several months, during which there had been an operation, a member of the immediate family had passed on, and our first child had been born under very trying circumstances, I felt great need of Christian Science.

Since girlhood I had heard of this religion, but had never thought it was for me. However, as Mrs. Eddy has stated in her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 66), "Trials are proofs of God's care." After gaining a slight understanding of Truth through reading the textbook I was healed of internal pains, the after effects of an anaesthetic.
