Eleven years ago, after a very inharmonious period of several months, during which there had been an operation, a member of the immediate family had passed on, and our first child had been born under very trying circumstances, I felt great need of Christian Science.

Since girlhood I had heard of this religion, but had never thought it was for me. However, as Mrs. Eddy has stated in her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 66), "Trials are proofs of God's care." After gaining a slight understanding of Truth through reading the textbook I was healed of internal pains, the after effects of an anaesthetic.

It is said in the Bible that "a little child shall lead them." When our little son was three years of age we placed him in a Christian Science Sunday School; and it was there, while I waited for him each Sunday, that the Christian Science Sentinel was first brought to my attention and eagerly read. Gradually more understanding has come to me of this most helpful and desirable, truth, and with it the healing of many minor ailments, as well as faults of character. Glasses have been discarded; and it has become possible to distinguish clearly, whereas before objects were blurred.
