I have received so many blessings from Christian Science...
I have received so many blessings from Christian Science that I consider it a duty to express my gratitude. Among my numerous healings I remember one especially which I had last year at this time, and which was to me a great proof of God's love.
At regular intervals I suffered a great deal from severe pain in the stomach. When this trouble seized me, ordinarily I would suffer intensely during the night. I tried hard to grasp the truth, but did not succeed sufficiently. Finally, one night, the pain was so severe and frequent that I had much difficulty in affirming the truth. Nevertheless, I had the assurance that since it was the truth it must triumph over error, which was only a lie, a supposition; but in the morning there seemed to be no improvement. Somewhat discouraged, I closed our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and went back to bed.
That afternoon I was to meet a friend of the family who was coming in from one of the suburbs to attend a concert with me. I felt I must tell him not to wait for me, when the thought came to me that there is no failure in God's kingdom. I took heart; and on again reading Science and Health, I understood more clearly the allness of good and saw the nothingness of any power apart from God. This assurance immediately broke error's hold. I was healed instantaneously. I dressed and went to the appointed meeting place. At the end of the concert my friend invited me to go by motor to Compiegne to spend two days. I accepted. All went harmoniously, and the trouble has never reappeared. I am very happy to know that one can daily prove Christian Science by understanding and applying its divine Principle.
