About eight years ago I first heard of Christian Science...
About eight years ago I first heard of Christian Science and, like many others, came into it for healing. At that time I was a physical wreck. I had been doctoring for some time, but did not seem to get any better. Words never could be written which would express the peace and joy I experienced at my first visit to a practitioner. Since that time I have seen whooping cough overcome in two treatments, and measles, skin disease, influenza, colds, lack, house problems, and discord of many other kinds overcome through the application of Christian Science.
My little son does not know what medicine is. Christian Science meant a great deal to me in the beginning because my material body was being healed; but as I have studied more and more, I wish to say that the spiritual healing has meant more to me than any physical healing I could experience. I am learning more and more how to give up self and how to love my neighbor.
I am so grateful for the "key" to the Scriptures which Mrs. Eddy has given us in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures;" grateful for the Lesson-Sermon each week and for the Christian Science periodicals, which are such a help to me; grateful for our lectures; grateful for the kind practitioners who lovingly helped me at the beginning of my study. Christian Science has meant more to me than anything else that has ever entered my life. It has brought more peace, joy, harmony, love, and comfort than was ever before experienced by me.
