For a long time I suffered greatly from a mental and physical breakdown. I was exhausted and discouraged, so that in spite of my family ties I longed for death, or at least saw it approach without fear. In this extremity an acquaintance who had been healed by Christian Science lent me some books concerning it, as well as some copies of Le Heraut. The testimonies of healing made a great impression on me, and I felt that here was the way of truth.

One day I called on a dear practitioner, who advised me to get the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Then the way of deliverance opened up for me. In fact, the stomach trouble, anaemia, weakness, and the other ills from which I was suffering, disappeared gradually, simply through reading this book. It seemed as though a power came from its pages destroying the errors and strengthening me. Hemorrhoids went, just through the understanding that I had at that time. The most arduous work no longer tired me, whereas formerly I did it only at the price of excessive weariness.

My daughters have been healed by Christian Science of whooping cough, croup, laryngitis, painful glands, and throat and ear troubles. They used to be very delicate, but are now strong and healthy. My home also has been blessed by Christian Science, and has become more harmonious.
