Among the Churches

Current Notes

PORT CHESTER, NEW YORK (First Church).—Following the filing of their certificate of incorporation, the members of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Port Chester, have acquired three lots on the corner of Leicester Street and Irving Avenue, upon which they hope to erect, at some future date, an edifice dedicated to their precepts. The lots are most desirable, being situated diagonally across from the Masonic Temple, now in the course of construction. They cover one hundred and four and one half feet on Irving Avenue and one hundred and seventy-eight feet on Leicester Street. No plans have been made as yet for the erection of a building, the acquiring of the property being merely a tentative step in planning for the future.—Port Chester Daily Item

ELYRIA, OHIO (First Church).—The Christian Science church of this city has now been dedicated. The local Scientists are rejoicing that the recent canceling of the church mortgage made this dedication possible.
