The book "Christianity and Christian Science—a Contrast"...

Daily Independent

The book "Christianity and Christian Science—a Contrast" is not an authorized publication of The Christian Science Publishing Society. Like all other critics of Christian Science, the writer of this book has only set forth his own concept of Christian Science. The fact remains that Christian Science, being an exact Science, is demonstrable in the same way that mathematics is demonstrable, and may, therefore, be proved by any one willing to put its teachings into practice. The authorized textbook of Christian Science is "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, the latest edition of which has been in use for many years. No such quotations appear in it as those given by your correspondent. Mrs. Eddy has again brought to this age the truth about God and man in His image and likeness; and to-day, all over the world, the sick are being healed and the sorrowing comforted through Christian Science, thus giving proof of the truth of its teachings, and fulfilling the promise of our Master.
