It would be impossible for me to mention the many...
It would be impossible for me to mention the many blessing I have received since I have known of Christian Science. I may say that my life has been transformed through the light of Truth.
Formerly I was gloomy and preoccupied, ill, hopeless, and without God; for nothing I had learned in my childhood had shown me how to overcome the weighty problems of my family life. When I became interested in Christian Science I was in a condition of mental and moral depression, disturbed by the thought that a God of love could send temptation and disease to His children. Through reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, the true nature of God and of His relation to man were clearly revealed to me. I then understood that God was not the creator of evil, and that He never made it. In the degree of my understanding I corrected my wrong thoughts. Gradually my health improved, my sadness was turned into joy, and a measureless peace flooded my whole life. Then my work was changed, and I was enabled to carry out a task which seemed to human sense beyond my strength; but divine Love, which will always meet all our needs, was an ever present help, and the more difficult the situation appeared, the more closely I clung to Truth.
Recently, on the loss of a dear one, I was surrounded by such thoughtfulness and unselfed love that I should like especially to thank the devoted practitioner who helped us by her correct and comforting thought. I can never be sufficiently grateful to God, who revealed to me this beautiful truth through the understanding of His Spirit, ever present and all-powerful; to Christ Jesus, from whose life we may draw examples of pure love and of true healing; and to Mrs. Eddy, who has again brought to light the truth as revealed by Jesus. My thanks are also due to all those who, far and near, are working for the advancement of the kingdom of God.—(Miss) Marguerite Moret, Geneva, Switzerland.
