That the study of Christian Science has a healing and...
That the study of Christian Science has a healing and regenerating influence on mankind has been proved times without number in my family in the last five years. One of the first healings, which to me was a repetition of the miracles of Jesus' time, was that of a broken arch of two years' standing. This uplifting experience came to me after three months of consistent daily study of the Lesson-Sermons and earnest application of the truth as it is taught us in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.
For the truth which is taught our children in the Christian Science Sunday School my gratitude is unbounded. The protection which this healing truth gives to our children was demonstrated recently when my little boy of six years manifested every symptom of approaching illness. He retired without eating his dinner, and when I began to talk to him about God's perfect child, he instantly replied, "I am perfect right now," and in expression of loving gratitude to his Father-Mother God, clasped his arms about my neck. He then dressed and went out to play, and has been perfectly normal ever since.
I am so grateful to know that "God lovingly governs all" (Science and Health, p. 412); grateful to the one who first so patiently led us to know this truth; grateful to the practitioner whose understanding of infinite good has replaced thoughts of sickness with health, a sense of lack with peace and plenty, and sorrow with joy. I am grateful to Christ Jesus, our Way-shower, and to Mrs. Eddy, through whose consecrated love this truth has been expressed so that even a child can understand and demonstrate God's allness.
