Herald
The Christian Scientist's aim is to do good, to destroy sin, to heal the sick, and to help others in the same direction. Christian Scientists are carrying on their healing work free from any spirit of competition or rivalry, and rejoice in every evidence that other churches are awakening, at least in some measure, to the need and the possibility of Christian healing. In the process of this awakening, however, some strange phenomena are coming to light, presented in the name of divine healing. Nevertheless, the fact that people are reaching out for Christian healing in larger measure to-day than ever before in the world's history is a hopeful sign of the times. Through honest, earnest effort seekers for Truth will eventually separate the wheat from the chaff.
That Christianity as founded by Jesus of Nazareth includes the healing of physical ills is plainly evident in the four gospels. That Christian healing is for this age, as well as for a past age and a future age, is equally evident, since God is unchanging Love. The fact that Christian Science is healing all manner of disease proves conclusively that physical healing through the Christ-power is as possible to-day as it was twenty centuries ago. This proof shows that mere speculation on the subject is quite out of the question at this date.
