Christian Science urges the return to primitive Christianity

Evening Despatch

Christian Science urges the return to primitive Christianity. Its demand for perfection and the spiritual healing of sickness, sin, and death, is fully substantiated by the Scriptures, and can appear "freakish" only to one who believes the early christian teaching to be a past dispensation among men. In view of the fact that Christianity, as taught by its Founder, insists upon the highest morals and ethics, a return to this standard must advance both thought and religion. The control of the prophets and early Christians over the elements, over sickness and death, and their effectual annihilation of space and time, silence all arguments that a return to the doctrine of these men will retard the world's advancement Primitive Christianity accomplished those things which mankind is to-day striving to accomplish with the aid of so-called medical science and natural science.
