Simplicity

MATTIE E. SIMPSON

How simple are the ways of love,
A smile, a kindly word, a touch;
Love speaks through us in simple ways;
We do not need to know so much.

We need to know how very sweet
It is to us when others do
Some gentle thing, and show to us
That they love to be loving too.
