Words fail to express my gratitude for the many beautiful demonstrations we have had in our home since beginning the study and practice of Christian Science. It is three years ago that it was first applied, when our daughter, aged three years, had been sick for six weeks with whooping cough, during which time she had had very little sleep. Having lost our infant daughter with the same disease, under medical care, we decided to give Christian Science a trial. A practitioner was called upon for help and within two days the claim was perfectly met. Since then we have had many healings.

While stationed at an Army camp in sourthern Illinois, I awoke one morning and found I could not raise myself from my cot. Lumbago had manifested itself so strongly that it became necessary to ask for help. I had a telegram sent to my wife, who immediately got in tough with a practitioner, and within four hours; time the disease was beautifully overcome. This and many other demonstrations have proved to me that "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."

I am grateful for the Sunday school, for it has taught our daughter to know what God is. I am also grateful for the periodicals that our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, has provided for us, and for the revelation of this great truth which has done and is doing so much for all mankind.
