I would like to add my testimony to the many grateful messages of love. I am grateful first to God our creator, to Christ Jesus the Way-shower, and to Mrs. Eddy the Discoverer and Founder of this beautiful religion of love and the dear practitioners and friends who have helped me to see and know this wonderful truth. I love and thank them all. In October of 1911 after suffering for two years with rheumatism in my ankles, I was discouraged with doctors and medicine and threw away the medicine, saying, "It does me no good; I do not want it," when a friend advised me to try Christian Science. I went to a practitioner and a treatment was lovingly given, and for three days I rested between hope and doubt. On the fourth day, however, my attention was called to the needs of another, so I entirely forgot self, and on the fifth day when I thought of my ankles they were entirely well. What joy the practitioner and I felt at this release from bondage. In two more treatments I was healed of heart trouble, chronic stomach and bowel trouble, and of the need for wearing glasses that the oculist had said I should never leave off, only when asleep.

One thought that brothered me when giving up the old religion for the new was, Could I trust Christian Science in time of pneumonia if I should have another attack, as the doctors had said I would never pull through again. But even this was met and overcome in three treatments in the spring of 1917. Now all fear and distrust have cleared away and I can lovingly say I find Christian Science the law of God that can truly meet every need.
