I write this testimony with deep gratitude to God and to Mrs. Eddy for the loving help I have received. About five years ago an entire stranger brought Christian Science to my house. For years I had studied the Bible and led a good life, but when this truth was revealed to me I became a different woman. I had been a martyr to rheumatism for years, and the doctors pronounced it chronic and said I could never get any better, but after studying "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy I was entirely healed of this trouble; also bad headaches, dyspepsia and other ills have been overcome.

A few months after I received this truth I was gas poisoned and lay unconscious for some hours. My husband not knowing any Scientist to appeal to for help, called in a doctor, who prescribed for me, but as soon as I became conscious I applied the truth, knowing that God is all-powerful and an ever present help. I was quite recovered and about my household duties in three days, which much astonished the doctor. Since that time I have seen the power of Truth overcome very many forms of error in my home, and I am very grateful indeed to the one who first brought this truth to me. My husband, one son, three daughters, and one son-in-law have also received the truth, for which I am very thankful to God. I am also very thankful to all who have helped me in the study of this teaching, also for the Christian Science publications, which are very helpful, for the understanding I have of this truth and the many blessings received through the teaching of this God-sent Science.
