I did not come into Christian Science for myself, but for a dear one. I had all the reading to do, so got the benefit. I was healed of many ailments through the reading of Science and Health. We were visiting in Concord, New Hampshire, my husband's native home, where I began to read this beautiful truth, more than twenty years ago. I had been an invalid all my life up to this time. I have been healed of stomach trouble, severe headaches, hemorrhoids, a broken wrist, and many other discordant conditions. Recently, while visiting a friend I met with an accident, and through God's protection I was saved. On going down a steep pair of stairs, I lost my balance and went head first down thirteen steps, striking my head with great force against a door at the bottom of the stairs. I was stunned for a time, but there were no broken bones, only a badly bruised and discolored face, which soon cleared up. I was able to be up and in the reading room all next day, until nine in the evening. I am grateful for class instruction, am a member of The Mother Church, also of a branch church. I am thankful to God for many blessings, and grateful to Mrs. Eddy, who has shown us how to apply the truth.
