In love and gratitude for all that Christian Science is to me I send this testimony, trusting it may prove helpful to others. I had been an earnest seeker for Truth since girlhood, but the peace that "passeth all understanding" was never mine until I found it in the teachings of Christian Science. I had never heard of Mrs. Eddy or Christian Science until I picked up a book in the library, the title of which appealed to me instantly, and I immediately wrote to a bookseller in England for the book, which was "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."

At that time I was in great need of healing, as a severe illness had left me in a very nervous state with a great dread of death. Through the reading of this book I was entirely healed. That was eight years ago, and since then I have had many healings—some instantaneous. When my beloved husband passed on I was a stranger in a strange land, but the kindness and help given me brought the realization of God's love and care for us at all times and in all places. I was able to continue my journey, of some thousand miles, alone, four days afterwards and to work out many problems.

I thank God for the truth that is Life. May my life attest my sincerity. My gratitude to Mrs. Eddy is deep and sincere for her faithful work, and I thank all who have helped me in my great need.
