Two years and a half ago I became interested in Christian Science
Two years and a half ago I became interested in Christian Science. At that time I was very unhappy, so unhappy that life did not seem worth living. A Christian Scientist kindly directed me to a practitioner, to whom I went not knowing what to expect, and found comfort and peace.
Since then I have gone through deep waters but have reached a place now where I know that "my redeemer liveth." Lately we had an opportunity to prove the nothingness of a so-called contagious disease. One morning my fourteen-year-old daughter's face was covered with a rash. I called up a practitioner and asked for help, and every manifestation of the disease disappeared that morning. The next evening the youngest boy complained of a sore throat. In the morning he was better, although he thought he would not eat any breakfast. I did my mental work, however, and when the rest of us were ready for breakfast he was too, and I heard no more about a sore throat. In the case of the older boy the healing of sore throat was practically instantaneous. Through the persistent study of the Bible and of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I am becoming more conscious each day that happiness, wellbeing, and peace are man's birthright.
I would be thankless indeed if I did not express my gratitude for all the blessings we have received. I am thankful for every activity of the Christian Science church — thankful to God, the Father, divine Principle; to Jesus the Christ, our Way-shower; and grateful to Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science.
