From a condition of darkest despair, suffering, and sorrow, I have been lifted to a state of peace, happiness, health, and sunshine. Christian Science not only healed me of many physical ills, among which were heart trouble, rheumatism, and extreme nervousness, but gave me a practical religion, for which I had hungered all my life. Very often when a child I would steal away by myself and read the Bible. I liked best to read of how Christ healed the sick and suffering, and how I did wish he were here with us now, never dreaming that some day, not far distant, I would be led to know that the same healing Christ, Truth, is ever present to save and heal all mankind. This wonderful truth came to me through Christian Science as taught in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, God's messenger of Truth to this age. Our two children, aged fourteen and eleven years, never have taken a drop of medicine. We have depended entirely upon the help of Christian Science and divine Love has supplied our every need. My husband was healed of the tobacco habit after two weeks' treatment. He had tried several times to break himself of the habit but without success. It is now about six years since his healing took place, and he has never had the least desire to smoke during this time.

It is no wonder, therefore, that we have only the deepest reverence and love for our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who was good and pure enough to reveal Christian Science to the world. My most sincere desire is that I may be able so to live this truth that I shall be a help to others.
