Christian Science was brought to me more than fourteen years ago, and though at the time I understood nothing of its teachings, I relied sufficiently on it to give up medical treatment, and with the help of a practitioner I was healed of appendicitis with only absent treatment. Since then I have had many healings, among them being the instantaneous healing of a sprained foot. Though I always turned to Christian Science in times of physical need, I read and studied little, so my progress was slow. I am grateful to know, however, that many times even a small understanding of the power of God, good, has been sufficient to prove the nothingness of all that is unlike good. I am learning to be grateful for the uncovering of error of every sort, and though it may mean a long struggle to overcome, one is cheered by knowing that error cannot win.
