I cannot be grateful enough for the teachings of Christian Science
I cannot be grateful enough for the teachings of Christian Science. No one can appreciate the blessings better than those who have experienced them; therefore I wish to advise all those who are ill or in trouble and misery to give Christian Science a trial. I do not know what would have become of me, if I had not known of it. Physically and morally I have become another man. I have been healed of various ills, but the best healing is the mental one. And now I shall relate a special experience. One night I woke up with a queer feeling of pain in my head, and began to have chills just as when one has fever. In the morning the feeling was the same, but I did my work as usual, knowing that nothing could harm me, and was busy all day. For a couple of days my eyes were badly swollen, first one and then the other, but I stuck steadfastly to the truth and continued without fear, knowing that the error would leave me, and it did.
I could tell of many other healing experiences of my own, and of people who were ill many, many years and could not be helped by a doctor or by any material remedy, but were healed through Christian Science and now are well and happy. One thing is necessary to know and this is, that there is one Mind, God, and he who knows this can heal. On page 158 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mrs. Eddy says, "What we need is the truth which heals both mind and body." Christian Science shows clearly that it is only Truth that heals and makes free. I hope that this testimony will lead many into this teaching, and think that everybody who has been healed through Christian Science is grateful with all his heart to the Founder, Mrs. Eddy, and thankful to God.
