One day about five years ago, while my thirteen year...
One day about five years ago, while my thirteen year old brother was playing hockey, in some way he was hit on the knee. It became very sore, and we called in different doctors; but he kept growing worse, so we took him to a specialist in Milwaukee, Wis. He was there several weeks, and his leg was put in a plaster cast, but there was no improvement. The doctor said the cast could not be removed, as it was a case of tuberculosis of the bone. My brother was very weak, and when he walked at all it was with crutches.
My grandfather, who lives in Milwaukee, was reading The Christian Science Journal, and he sent to mother the name of a practitioner who lives here, asking her to have a talk with this lady. My mother therefore went to the practitioner's office and told her about the case, and she called the next morning to see my brother. After she had talked with him a while he asked for treatment, and as a result he got up without any help and walked across the room and back to his chair. In a short time he was making a small garden. He would put his crutches near him, but did not use them. He had about six weeks' treatment and grew strong and tall. Although the leg is sometimes a little stiff, he has been working on the Government locks all the spring, selling nautical books to the different boats. In doing this line of work he is obliged to climb ladders.
For this healing we are very grateful. Christian Science has brought only blessings to us, and for that reason we are sending this testimony, so it may help some one else to the truth which makes free.
