It is with a feeling of sincere gratitude that I tell of the many blessings which have come to me through Christian Science. Some seven years ago, when I was going through a dark period of my life, a neighbor handed me a copy of the Sentinel. I was very much interested in the testimonies, and said that if those people had been healed then I could have hope also. I soon had proof of the truth, for one night I slept soundly and peacefully. The next day I wondered where the night had gone ; I did not know it was "the peace of God, which passeth all understanding," that I had experienced.
I soon bought a copy of Science and Health and began to study it. My healing was slow, as there was much to overcome, but with the aid of practitioners who gave me treatment and encouragement at intervals, I improved slowly, and thereby gained in spiritual understanding. I have also been healed of asthma that was said to have been inherited, and colds and throat trouble have vanished through the power of Truth. In Isaiah we read, "The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light." I too was in darkness until I came into Christian Science and learned my relationship to God. I am indeed grateful to our revered Leader for giving us this truth that makes free. — Anna N. Wilcox, Minneapolis, Minn.
