Christian Science has been in our home almost ever since I can remember, but it has only been in the last few years that I have thoroughly appreciated it and tried to put into practice the truths I have been learning. When I was a child a number of warts appeared on my body, a particularly ugly one being at the base of the nail and making the finger deformed. These were instantaneously healed, and the finger was made perfect through the realization of the truth as taught in Christian Science.

A few years ago, through the help of a practitioner, there was added another proof of the ever presence of God. While away from home on a visit I was taken suddenly ill. I suffered great pain and the symptoms seemed very alarming. Friends brought me home, where I arrived with a very high fever. The next day every tooth became loose and my tongue was so swollen that I could not close my mouth or speak. Under Christian Science treatment the fever was overcome in three days and the weakness and other conditions disappeared a few days later. I was stricken on a Wednesday, and a week later I was able to attend the testimony meeting. By the Sunday following my condition was absolutely normal. Through God's protecting care I was wonderfully sustained during the experience of childbirth, and I have since had many proofs of the power of Truth.

My gratitude to Mrs. Eddy is unbounded that she discovered and gave to us a religion which influences our daily living. I know that I can best prove my gratitude by constant striving for that Mind "which was also in Christ Jesus."
