It is with sincere gratitude for Christian Science that I give this testimony. I have found the daily study of the Bible and Science and Health a great help not only in physical trouble but in every difficulty that comes up. About a year ago my son was struck in the eye with a baseball while at school. A clot of blood formed, covering the sight, and the thought was at once presented to him by several that an operation would probably be necessary. He came home very much excited and in great pain. I told him to repeat the "scientific statement of being" (Science and Health, p. 468); then I called a practitioner, and in thirty minutes he was back at school. By morning all evidence of the clot of blood had entirely disappeared, and he has never felt any ill effects from the accident.
Not long ago I had an extremely sore throat and suffered greatly. For three days I tried to overcome it, but finally telephoned to a practitioner and asked for help, In about eighteen hours every sign of swelling and soreness had gone. Complete relief from pain was experienced in an hour, and I fell into a sound sleep. "I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust."
