Among the Churches

Huntington Park Signal

North Adams, Mass.—A few years ago a number of North Adams people became interested in Christian Science, and meetings were held at their homes, in hotel parlors, and in the Grand Army Building. The membership grew until the need of a permanent home was felt, and the society then bought the old brick schoolhouse on Chestnut Street, which was no longer used for school purposes, and fitted it up for the use to which it was to be put. It is an unpretentious but comfortable building, standing well back from the street, with a broad lawn in front, and constitutes a satisfactory home for the young and growing church.—North Adams Herald.

Chicago, Ill.—The contract has been let for the edifice of Fifteenth Church of Christ, Scientist, which is to be started at once at Central and Pine. It is to be a building costing more than two hundred thousand dollars. The church will seat fifteen hundred people and the Sunday school room one thousand.

Huntington Park, Cal.A correction was made in the September 22, 1917 Sentinel: The item in the issue of Sept. 15 referring to Huntington Park, Ill., should have read, Huntington Park, Cal.  —Work on the new edifice of First Church of Christ, Scientist, is progressing rapidly. The building has an imposing appearance, and when completed will be an edifice of which Huntington Park can be proud. The contractor says it will be ready for occupancy not later than the first of September.—Huntington Park Signal.
