Among the Churches

Boise, Idaho.—First Church of Christ, Scientist, this year [1916] finished paying for a lot on the northwest corner of Fourteenth and Washington Streets. This lot was purchased a number of years ago for the purpose of erecting upon it a new church edifice as soon as the attendance outgrew the present church building at 814 State Street, which seats about two hundred and fifty. As the attendance shows a growing need for more room, plans for a new building in the near future are under consideration.—Idaho Statesman.

Santa Ana, Cal.—A deed has been recorded for the property that has been bought by First Church of Christ, Scientist, as a site for a new church. The property lies on the north side of Tenth Street, between Main and Sycamore Streets, and comprises a strip that has a frontage of 125 feet on Main Street and 125 feet on Sycamore. The price paid for it was $8084.50. Soon after the first of the new year the church board will begin plans for the building. It is expected that the church will be constructed before the end of 1917.—Santa Ana Register.

Pasadena, Cal.—On New Year's day, in accordance with the custom of several years past, the Tournament of Roses held its annual parade. This is always of great interest to southern California people and visiting tourists. The roading-tent maintained by First Church of Christ, Scientist, was visited by more than twenty-one hundred people, and nearly eight hundred pieces of Christian Science literature were accepted and carried away by these visitors.
