Thankfulness to God for Christian Science prompts me to write this testimony, trusting that some one in need may be led to the truth that sets men free. In April, 1910, I was taken with an attack of inflammatory rheumatism which made me entirely helpless. As I knew that if God could not heal me no lesser power could, a Christian Science practitioner was called. After the first treatment to my surprise I was told that I could get up. The fever and severe pain had been overcome, so that I was able to dress and go down stairs. I had been subject to occasional attacks of rheumatism since childhood, at one time having been confined to the bed a week, but this last attack was more severe than any previous one. The work was so thoroughly done, however, that although this healing took place over five years ago, I have not had a rheumatic pain since.

For more than nine years I have not taken any medicine; the truth has been my only physician. I am very grateful for the physical healing, but far more so for "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, which has illumined the Bible so that all mankind may know that "the leaves of the tree" are for "the healing of the nations." Since taking up the study of Christian Science I have been far happier, healthier, and stronger than at any time in my life. I know that God does not want any one to suffer; He who can create, can He not make whole? There is nothing too hard for God. The power of the Christ, Truth, is "the same yesterday, and today, and forever." I am grateful to Mrs. Eddy for this practical religion.
