I have received many benefits from the study and application of the truths to be found in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. During my high school course it was deemed necessary for me to wear glasses for what is called near-sightedness. For nineteen years I depended on them every day, but after taking up the study of Christian Science I soon laid them off, and have not used them for about six years.

My first demonstration was over acute lung trouble. I had had several severe attacks of this disease and at one time had been confined to the bed for nearly eight weeks under medical treatment. On this occasion my wife and I put into practice what little understanding we had of Christian Science, with the result that I was able to be up and out of the house the day after the attack came on, and to run a mowing machine all the following day.

The application of the truth has been of untold help to me in a business way. Christian Science came to us when we were out on a little ranch in almost destitute circumstances; indeed, foreclosure of a mortgage was staring us in the face. This difficulty was however met and the place disposed of without loss. From that time our business affairs changed for the better, and at present I have a good position with prospects of further advancement.
